Player wellbeing

Responsible Play

Pixels Union games are free, skill-based entertainment. Here's what that means, and where to find support if you ever need it.

This is not gambling

Every game on Pixels Union — Knight vs Dragon, Ice Clash, and Ice Fishing Frenzy — is free to play and decided entirely by skill: your reflexes, timing, and practice. There is no wagering, no entry fee, no real-money prize, and no mechanic where you risk something of value for a chance at winning something of value. Nothing on this Site is, or should be treated as, gambling.

A note for our Michigan players

We built this Site with Michigan players in mind first. Michigan has strong, active oversight of real-money gaming through the Michigan Gaming Control Board. Because Pixels Union never involves wagering or real-money prizes, that oversight doesn't apply to what we offer — but we still take player wellbeing seriously, and we'd rather over-communicate than leave anyone guessing.

Healthy play habits

  • Treat game time like any other hobby — something you fit around your day, not something that takes it over.
  • Take a break if a level or match is frustrating you more than it's fun. The dragon isn't going anywhere.
  • Play for the score, not against a clock or a deadline. There's no rush.
  • If you notice yourself feeling anxious, irritable, or preoccupied with a game outside of playing it, that's worth paying attention to — even for free games.

Where to find support

If gaming or gambling of any kind — on our Site or elsewhere — ever starts to feel like it's affecting your life, free and confidential help is available:

  • National Problem Gambling Helpline: call or text 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537), available 24/7 across the United States.
  • Michigan Department of Health and Human Services: resources on problem gambling support services for Michigan residents.
  • National Council on Problem Gambling: ncpgambling.org for chat-based support and local resources.

These organizations are independent of Pixels Union. We link to them because we think they're useful, not because we believe our Games are gambling — they aren't, and never will be.
